Program notes: (ITA) Ho composto il mio terzo quartetto d’archi con evidenti intenzioni programmatiche, che si dichiarano nel sottotitolo dell’opera, Snowing L.A., e nei suoi tre movimenti: Hollywood Kitsch, Ice on the Sea e Snow, not so Slow. Ho voluto una partitura concertante e dal carattere brillante in cui l’effetto generale, intenso, sorprendente, effimero e scorrevole, la facesse da padrone.
